Realme is gearing to launch the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro phones in India on August 20. The Oppo spin-off brand has started teasing the two phones, and even though the Realme 5 Pro will be a ‘pro’ while at it with its 48MP quad cameras, the Realme 5 is also shaping to be quite a surprise package. Realme has confirmed that the Realme 5 will bring quad rear cameras and a 5,000mAh battery at under Rs 10,000. The Realme 5 will also be powered by an unspecified Qualcomm processor – rumor has it that it would be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665.

The Realme 3 starts at Rs 8,999 for the base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the top-end variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage costs Rs 10,999. We expect Realme to launch the Realme 5 at around similar prices.

Cameras seem to be the main highlight of the Realme 5 (and Realme 5 Pro). The quad camera setup in the Realme 5 will come with a primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an ultra-wide camera with 119-degree field-of-view, a super macro camera, and a portrait camera.

Realme has also revealed much of the design scheme of the Realme 5. The phone in question will come with a gradient finish on the pack like the Realme 3, only this time Realme seems to be going back to its signature diamond cut pattern aesthetic. The quad camera setup will be vertically aligned, and a fingerprint scanner will complete the package. Realme isn’t showing off the Realme 5’s front just yet.

Coming to the Realme 5 Pro, this one will also get a quad camera setup on the rear – with a 48MP main camera, while the rest of the setup seems to be similar to that of the Realme 5. The Realme 5 Pro will be also powered by a Qualcomm processor and while Realme isn’t revealing the battery capacity just yet, the company has confirmed that the phone will support 20W VOOC flash charge 3.0.
