Realme C1 2019 launched with Snapdragon 450, 4,230mAh battery, price starts at Rs 7,499

Oppo spin-off brand Realme, on Monday, announced an updated version of its entry-level Realme C1 phone in India. The Realme C1 2019 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 7,499 for the base 2GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, going all the way to Rs 8,499 for the top-end variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The Realme C1 2019 will be available for buying in India from online retail website Flipkart from February 5.  

The Realme C1 2019 comes with a 6.2-inch 720p+ display with an iPhone X-style notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with up to 3GB RAM and up to 32GB internal storage which is expandable by up to 256GB via a dedicated micro-SD card slot. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 software and supports 4G LTE connectivity. The main USP of the Realme C1 2019 is said to be its massive 4,230mAh battery which is claimed to offer 44 hours of phone calls, 18 hours of music playback with Wi-Fi, and 10 hours of gaming, “which is comparable to using a power bank for the same duration,” according to Realme. 

Onto optics, the Realme C1 sports dual rear cameras consisting of one 13MP sensor and anoother 2MP sensor for depth sensing. On thje front, the Realme C1 2019 comes with a 5MP camera. 

In terms of design, the Realme C1 2019 comes with an all-plastic body with glossy finish and will be available in two colour options: Ocean Blue and Deep Black. The phone does not have a fingerprint scanner but supports face unlock for biometric authentication.  

“Starting this year, Realme will be focusing more on investing in the budget phone segment expanding our reach to massive customers. Launching Realme C1 (2019) with 2+32 GB and 3+32 GB is a step towards our investment in the budget segment. As a youth-centric brand, listening and understanding the voice of the customers is our duty, the budget segment needed a phone that gave every Indian access to a power packed device hence we are offering Realme C1 (2019) to the customers at an affordable price,” Madhav Sheth who is chief executive officer, Realme India said while announcing the Realme C1 2019.
