Hours after confirming its Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 flagship, aka Realme 2 Pro, Realme has further confirmed that the said phone will pack a 90Hz display. Realme has previously confirmed that it has been working on a phone with a 90Hz display with a price that should be less than the OnePlus 7T. Now we know that phone will be the soon to launch Realme 2 Pro.

Although a tentative timeline of launch hasn’t been quoted, chances are Realme will launch the Realme X2 Pro in China first – much like the Realme X2. The Realme X2 Pro seems to be a Pro version of the Realme X2 which was recently launched in China. The Realme X2 is basically the Realme XT with a faster processor inside as well as faster charging. There’s also an upgraded 32MP selfie camera on the Realme X2 – even as the Realme XT comes with a 16MP selfie shooter. Realme is expected to launch the Realme X2 in India as the Realme XT 730G in December.

Now that a coming soon tag is attached with the Realme X2 Pro, it will be only about time that Realme starts dropping more hints with respect to hardware. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and 90Hz display are a good start – hopefully we will know soon. That said, the way the Realme X2 Pro is shaping up, it’s obvious Realme is looking to take on the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro as well as the OnePlus 7T here.

Speaking of the Realme X2, the phone comes with a 6.4-inch 1080p+ Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage which is also expandable. The dual-SIM Realme X2 runs Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6 software. The Realme X2 further packs a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging. The Realme X2 comes with a four-camera setup on the rear. It has a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, the Realme X2 has a 32MP camera.

Whether or not the Realme X2 Pro also gets a 64MP main camera is something only time will tell.
