Samsung Galaxy M10 and the Galaxy M20 smartphones could be budget smartphones. These handsets are highly expected to be introduced in India very soon, and rumour mills had been rife with the price of both the smartphones.

Now, as per IANS, the Galaxy M20 could have a price tag in the Rs 15000 range; whereas the Galaxy M10 could be a pure budget smartphone with prices ranging in the sub Rs 10000 range. Now, even though Samsung is yet to make official the prices of the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 handsets, the prices which have surfaced now indicate that there could be yet another healthy war in both the budget as well as mid-range smartphone segments in India.

Here, it is worth noting that these sectors were not too long ago seemingly the favourite of major smartphone makers across the world; now, it seems like there has been a new segment that has graduated out of these; which is called the premium mid-range segment which is now dominated by the likes of Chinese brands viz Xiaomi and OnePlus. Even the pure budget smartphone segment has started to see less disruption by local brands.

Hence, in case Samsung chooses to infuse life into the Indian budget smartphones segment, the Galaxy M10 could pose intense competition to the likes of Xiaomi Redmi phones which are prominent players in the category. The Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 key technical specifications are yet to officially surface, but rumour mills are rife about the latter featuring an Infinity-V notch-like display.

In related developments, Samsung’s presence at the CES 2019 could be the cynosure of all eyes considering the fact that the South Korea electronics giant is set to showcase applications harnessing its IoT, AL, and ML-driven technological aspects.
