Samsung Galaxy A50 is now heavily rumoured to be the future addition to the South Korean smartphone brand’s Galaxy A lineup. USP of the purported handset could be its 4000 mAh battery, and fingerprint sensor to unlock the display.

As per a GalaxyClub report (translated), the Samsung Galaxy A50 would also offer a 24MP rear camera. Multiple other technical specifications of the rumoured Galaxy A50 have also surfaced; going by these details, the Samsung Galaxy A50 upon going official should offer the below key technical aspects; to users:

  • Octa-core Exynos 9610 SoC
  • Google Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system; out of the box
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 4000 mAh battery; with wireless charging compatibility
  • Display size of more than 6-inches; with fingerprint sensor incorporated
  • 64/ 128 GB internal storage variants

The Galaxy A50 is also believed (by a cross section of rumour mills) to get an early 2019 launch and release. The apparent premium mid-range handset could be launched as a pure mid-ranger as well. In this regard, Samsung Galaxy loyalists could share thoughts/insights on the expected launch time period of the now heavily rumoured smartphone.

In related news, a multitude of users of the South Korean brand’s Galaxy S9 flagship recently took to social forums to report, “issues”, after updating to the newer Android 9.0 (Pie) firmware. Issues reported were concerning the battery, as some users stated that they experienced battery drain relatively quickly even upon general usage of the smartphone (post updating to Android Pie; from Android Oreo).

If you are a user of the Samsung Galaxy S9, you should remember that the rollout of Android Pie as an OS update is yet to go comparatively wider at this instant; hence, there is every chance that the “issues” reported by a section of users could be solved before the Android Pie firmware is released more widely; to cover the entire user community.
