Samsung Galaxy M40 gets new cocktail orange variant ahead of Amazon Prime Day sale

Samsung has announced a new cocktail orange colour varaint of the Galaxy M40 ahead of Amazon’s upcoming Prime Day sales event. The cocktail orange colour varaint of the Galaxy M40 will be available for buying during Amazon Prime Day, a 2-day promotional sales event that starts July 15. It is yet to be seen if Samsung will continue to sell this variant of the Galaxy M40 after the sales event ends, or if this is just a one-off thing. The price and configuration of this variant remains the same as the midnight blue and seawater blue variants – Rs 19,990 for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. 

The Galaxy M40 is the cheapest phone that you can get with a punch-hole display in the Indian market today. It comes with a 6.3-inch 1080p+ TFT LCD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage which is also expandable via a hybrid micro-SD card slot. The dual SIM phone runs Android 9 Pie-based One UI and further packs a 3,500mAh battery with 15W fast charging through USB Type-C. 

In terms of optics, the Galaxy M40 comes with three rear cameras consisting of one 32MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP sensor for depth sensing aka portrait photography. On the front, the Galaxy M40 comes with a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. 

Samsung’s other Galaxy M phones, aka Galaxy M30, Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10, will be getting their own offers during Amazon’s Prime Day sale. The Galaxy M30 will be available with a Rs 1,000 flat discount during the sale bringing the starting price of the phone down to Rs 13,990. The Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30 will be eligible for a 10 per cent instant discount on payments made using HDFC cards, while the Galaxy M20 will also be available with an exchange discount of Rs 1,000.  

All the variants of the Galaxy M40 will also be eligible for 10 per cent instant discount on payments made using HDFC cards, as well as exchange discount of up to Rs 3,000 on select models.
