Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10E in India. Although the company has already announced the pricing and availability of its new Galaxy S10 phones (all the phones are already available for pre-order), Samsung hosted a stand-alone keynote event in the National Capital on Wednesday to reiterate its growing emphasis on India’s burgeoning smartphone market - where it is facing some stiff competition from Chinese counterparts. And the fact that company president DJ Koh was personally here to host the event means only one thing - Samsung is going big in India.

The Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10E are Samsung’s top-tier flagship phones for the year 2019 - they share many features but at the same time, each one of them offers something unique seemingly justifying their varied price points.

Speaking of which, prices start as low as Rs 55,900 for the Galaxy S10E (6GB RAM/128GB storage) going all the way to Rs 1,17,900 for the top-end Galaxy S10+ with 12GB RAM, 1TB storage and ceramic back. The Galaxy S10 will meanwhile start at Rs 66,900 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB configuration.
The Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10E have been available for pre-orders in India from Samsung.com/in, Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm, Tata CLiQ and select offline retail outlets. Samsung will start shipping the Galaxy S10 from March 6 (which is today) for these consumers.

The Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10E will go on sale in India for all from March 8 from across online and offline stores – which is also the same day that Samsung starts selling these devices globally.

The Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10E share the same glass and metal design with near edge-to-edge screens courtesy Samsung’s new punch-hole Infinity-O display. The processor inside all of them stays the same as well – which is Samsung’s own Exynos 9820 (in India). So is the software, which is Android 9 Pie-based One UI.

All the three phones also pack the same dual aperture primary rear cameras and 10MP primary front camera with support for 4K video recording. Fast wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are also standard, so is Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, IP68-certification and micro-SD expansion. The Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10E keep the headphone jack too.

The Galaxy S10+ is Samsung’s premiere Galaxy S10 with a 6.3-inch AMOLED HDR+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, triple rear cameras (consisting of one 12MP wide sensor with f/1.5 aperture and dual pixel OIS, a 16MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and fixed focus, and a 12MP telephoto sensor with OIS), dual front cameras (consisting of one 10MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a secondary 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture), up to 8GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, and a 4,100mAh battery.

Samsung has also announced a maxed-out variant of the Galaxy S10+ with a ceramic back, 12GB RAM and 1TB storage.

The Galaxy S10 is essentially the Galaxy S10+ with a smaller 6.1-inch display and 3,400mAh battery, up to 8GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, and a single punch-hole selfie camera.

The Galaxy S10E, which is the most affordable of the lot, has a smaller 5.8-inch screen with a flatter bezel (still punch-hole though, and also still AMOLED), lower 1080p+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has a conventional fingerprint scanner mounted on the power button on the right. It has dual rear cameras consisting of one 12MP wide sensor with f/1.5 aperture and OIS, and a secondary 16MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and fixed focus. It also has a much smaller 3,100mAh battery.
