The next Samsung Galaxy S, likely to be called the Galaxy S11, will come in three sizes and as many as five variants, according to serial tipster Evan Blass. While three sizes for the Galaxy S11 may not seem surprising anymore what with the Galaxy S10 also having three different sizes, it is their purported numbers that are particularly interesting. That and the fact that, the top-tier Galaxy S11+ may come in only 5G.

While this year’s Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ have a 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.3-inch displays, next year’s Galaxy S11 phones are tipped to come in 6.4, 6.7 and 6.9-inch screen sizes – in case you didn’t notice, the top-tier model is even bigger than the Galaxy Note 10+ which is currently Samsung’s biggest phone (not counting the Galaxy Fold here). Blass isn’t particularly confident about the smallest Galaxy S11 phone – its size could also be 6.2-inch, he adds. Whatever be the case, even 6.2-inch is a step-up from the 5.8-inch Galaxy S10e.

Coming to the variants, the Galaxy S11e and the Galaxy S11 are said to come in both 4G LTE and 5G-ready variants while the Galaxy S11+ will be available in just a stand-alone 5G variant. This means the Galaxy S11 will have five variants – this of course does not consider the different configuration variants.

Another interesting tidbit shared by Blass is that all the Galaxy S11 phones will come with a curved-edge display – including the entry-level Galaxy S11e. The Galaxy S10e, to recall, has a flat display as a measure to keep costs down.

Lastly, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S11 lineup as per tradition – meaning in mid to late February – according to Blass.

Previously, another tipster Ice Universe had tipped that the Galaxy S11 “has a high probability of using a new 108MP sensor.” We don’t know if it’s going to be the same 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX image sensor seen in the newly launched Mi CC9 Pro, or if it’s going to be a newer version – 2.0 if you may – with improved capabilities. The Galaxy S11 is also rumoured to include a 5x periscope zoom camera.
