Samsung’s current-gen flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S9 Plus has currently received a reasonable price cut online and the smartphone is available for buyers at the new price. For starters, Samsung could also unveil the next-gen Galaxy S10 smartphone (development hugely expected by loyalists of Samsung) in an Unpacked event to be held on February 20 in San Francisco.

Now, the Galaxy S9 Plus has received a price cut on e-tailer Flipkart, and the handset is now available at Rs 61900; down by nearly Rs 3000; from the original Rs 64900 pricing. This development also coincides with the timing during which there are increased expectations about Samsung showcasing the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ (multiple variants) at the February 20 Unpacked event. These smartphones have become an intense subject of rumour mills; with renowned tipsters even stating that the handsets would feature 4100mAh battery and triple primary cameras (in one of the variants).

As far as the latest price cut is concerned, it seems to be a non-festive offering on Flipkart and could be a limited-time initiative. If you are desirous of buying the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus at these off-festive season times, you could check out the etailer (at your own discretion that is).

If you are new to Samsung’s scheme of things, then the Galaxy S10+ comes with key technical specifications such as:

  • 6.2-inch screen with resolutions of 2960 x 1440 pixels
  • Android Oreo out of the box; eligible for update to Android Pie
  • Exynos octa-core SoC
  • 12MP+12MP rear cameras
  • 8MP front snapper
  • 6 GB RAM
  • 64 GB internal storage
  • Hybrid slots for expansion of internal storage up to 400 GB
  • LTE, HSPA, GSM, Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi connectivity
  • 3500 mAH battery

Samsung’s Galaxy S9 Plus smartphone competes with the likes of the OnePlus 6, and OnePlus 6T in terms of key technical specifications. The former is priced much lesser than the former which has the brand value and user interface edge to it.
