The full design of the Asus ZenFone 6 has leaked online a day ahead of launch, courtesy serial tipster Roland Quandt. Asus has been teasing the ZenFone 6’s all-screen and no-notch design for a while now leading many to speculate that the phone in question may come with a pop-up or elevating camera. Turns out, that is incorrect. The ZenFone 6 will instead come with a rotating or flip camera module – something on the lines of what we’ve seen in the Samsung Galaxy A80.

As per the leaked renders, the alleged ZenFone 6 will not have a selfie camera in the literal sense – rather, the rear cameras will double as front cameras. The dual rear camera module will be part of a flip mechanism and the whole module will rotate on its axis to function as front camera(s). Considering that Asus has already confirmed a 48MP plus 13MP camera setup for the ZenFone 6, it’s safe to say that the phone in question will be also able to shoot high-resolution selfies, if the leaked renders are anything to go by.

The design falls in line with the schematics shared by Asus recently. Fans and enthusiasts will be glad to know that Asus is retaining the 3.5mm audio jack in the ZenFone 6 – something that is fast becoming a rarity in flagship phones. Asus is also adding a smart key in the ZenFone 6, which should be its take on OnePlus’ popular alert slider switch.

The ZenFone 6 will pack a triple card slot, which also confirms that the phone will support expandable storage (and dual SIM). There will be a speaker vent at the bottom and USB Type-C for charging and data syncing. The leaked renders, in addition, suggest the ZenFone 6 will come with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Elsewhere, Asus has confirmed that the ZenFone 6 will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 855 mobile processor.

Asus will launch the ZenFone 6 at a keynote event in Spain on May 16. It is yet to be seen if the ZenFone 6 will be a whole series of phones like the ZenFone 5, or whether Asus is going to cut short the number of high-end phones it launches this year.
