Vivo is gearing to launch the Vivo S5 phone in China on November 14. The company has already shared promo images of the phone in question, and now, it is showing some more – the Vivo S5 will come in blue in addition to the pearly white colourway that was previously shown. There could be more colours at launch.

Vivo S5 may come in two versions

The Vivo S5 has been spotted on both TENAA and GeekBench, confirming some key hardware specifics of the phone ahead of launch. Interestingly, the Vivo S5 is said to come in two different versions, one with three rear cameras and another with as many as five. While the triple camera Vivo S5 is said to come with a 48MP+8MP+5MP setup, the penta camera Vivo S5 is said to come with a 48MP+8MP+5MP+2MP+5MP setup. On the front, the phone is said to come with a 32MP camera.

Basis of the listings, the Vivo S5 will come with a 6.44-inch 1080p+ display – with an OLED panel as has been confirmed by Vivo. The phone is said to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, the Vivo S5 is said to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. A 4,010mAh battery is said to power the whole thing.

The Vivo S5 seems to be some sort of successor to the Vivo S1 which was recently launched in India. The Vivo S1 comes with a 6.38-inch 1080p+ Super AMOLED display with waterdrop-style notch and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P65 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The dual SIM phone runs Android Pie-based Funtouch OS 9. The Vivo S1 further packs a massive 4,500mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.

On to the cameras, the Vivo S1 comes with triple rear cameras – a 16MP main camera with f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and another 2MP sensor for portrait photography. On the front, the S1 comes with a 32MP camera.
