Days after launching the dual pop-up camera toting V17 Pro, Vivo is gearing to launch a new affordable phone called the U10 in India on September 24. Although Vivo hasn’t shared specific price details, it is expected that the U10 will most likely be a budget phone – possibly around Rs 10,000. A day ahead of launch, Vivo has revealed full design and hardware specs of the upcoming U10 leaving nothing to the imagination. Basis of what’s in store, should Vivo launch the U10 at around Rs 10,000, it is sure to make some headlines.
Basis of Vivo’s landing page for the U10 that has gone just live on its official website, the U10 will come with a 6.35-inch HD+ or 720p+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with 4GB RAM – there will be a provision for storage expansion.
On to the cameras, the U10 will come with three rear cameras – a 13MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth camera for portrait photography. The front camera resolution is unknown at this point of time.
Vivo has already confirmed that the U10 will be big on battery capacity, and now it has confirmed that the U10 will pack a sizeable 5,000mAh battery which is claimed to offer up to 7 hours of PUBG playback on single charge. The phone’s also set to support 18W fast charging which is claimed to offer up to 4.5 hours of talk time on a 10-minute charge.
Speaking of design, the U10 will most likely have a plastic exterior – a plastic glossy one like the one seen in Vivo’s other budget phones like the S1 and Z1 Pro. The phone will be available in two colours – electric blue and thunder black.
In other news, Vivo recently launched the V17 Pro in India. The main USP of the Vivo V17 Pro is its cameras – there are in fact six cameras in all on offer here. Four on the back and two on the front. The dual front cameras are particularly interesting since this is the first time any company has launched a phone with dual pop up selfie cameras. Vivo was perhaps the first to start the trend of pop up selfie cams - the V15 Pro also had one. With the V17 Pro, you can say, Vivo has taken another leap forward. The V17 Pro not only ships with two front cameras, there’s also a dedicated flash for low-light scenarios.
