Vivo is gearing to launch its next camera-centric V-series phone in India soon. The phone in question, called the Vivo V17 Pro, has been leaked extensively over the last few days – giving us a good look at the phone’s design. Now, hardware specs of the alleged Vivo V17 Pro have also leaked online and since they come from a reliable tipster, this could well be it.

Key Feature

The main USP of the Vivo V17 Pro will most likely be its cameras. This one is set to get as many as six cameras, if rumor mills are anything to go by. More precisely, the Vivo V17 Pro is said to come with four rear cameras and two selfie shooters. The front camera setup would be particularly interesting since this is the first time, we would be seeing a dual pop-up mechanism in what is most likely going to be an affordable mid-range phone.

As for the nature of its cameras, the Vivo V17 Pro is said to come with a 48MP main camera on the back alongside a wide-angle camera and possibly two 2MP cameras – one for portraits and another for shooting macros or close-up shots. On the front, the Vivo V17 Pro is said to come with 32MP main camera and a dedicated 2MP depth sensor.

What's More?

Rumored specs of the Vivo V17 Pro include a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080p+ resolution and in-display fingerprint scanner, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The whole thing is said to be powered by a 4,100mAh battery.

In terms of design, the Vivo V17 Pro would seemingly remind you of the company’s existing batch of smartphones like the recently launched Z1x – although it is yet to be seen if we would be getting plastic of glass with it. The Vivo V17 Pro predecessor, aka Vivo V15 Pro, came with a plastic back so it won’t be surprising if Vivo opts to go down that route again. The pop-up camera mechanism means we’re looking at a near all-screen display with bare minimum bezels on all the sides.
