Vivo will launch the V17 Pro phone in India on September 20. Vivo is now sending out invites to the media for a launch event scheduled for September 20 where it will launch the V17 Pro for the Indian market. The company has also started teasing the phone in question on social media highlighting its biggest USP – a 32MP dual pop-up selfie camera setup. Vivo has many pop-up camera phones to its name, but this will be the first time it is coming up with a phone with dual pop-up shooters.
The Vivo V17 Pro has already leaked extensively, and we already have a fair idea of what could be in store. The phone is expected to come with as many as six cameras - four rear cameras and two selfie shooters (this is now confirmed). The front camera setup will be particularly interesting since this is the first time, we will be seeing a dual pop-up mechanism in what is most likely going to be an affordable mid-range phone.
As for the nature of its cameras, the Vivo V17 Pro is said to come with a 48MP main camera on the back alongside a wide-angle camera and possibly two 2MP cameras – one for portraits and another for shooting macros. On the front, the Vivo V17 Pro is said to come with 32MP main camera (this is also now confirmed) and a dedicated 2MP depth sensor. Rumored hardware specs of the Vivo V17 Pro include a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with in-display fingerprint scanner, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB storage, and a 4,100mAh battery under the hood.
Speaking of design, the Vivo V17 Pro would seemingly remind you of the company’s existing batch of glossy smartphones with gradient finish like the recently launched Z1x. The Vivo V17 Pro predecessor, aka Vivo V15 Pro, came with a plastic back so it won’t be surprising if Vivo opts to go for plastic again. The pop-up camera mechanism means the Vivo V17 Pro will be coming with a near all-screen display with bare minimum bezels on all the sides.
