Vivo has launched a new budget phone called the Y11 2019 in Vietnam at a price of just under Rs 10,000. The phone boasts of an attractive gradient (albeit plastic) design, a large screen with a waterdrop-style notch, a Snapdragon 439 processor, dual rear cameras, and a ginormous 5,000mAh battery. Speaking of core specs, the Vivo Y11 2019 has a 6.35-inch HD+ or 720p+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage – there's also a provision for storage expansion. On to the cameras, the Y11 2019 comes with dual rear cameras – a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera for portrait photography. On the front, the Y11 2019 comes with an 8MP camera.
The main USP of the phone is its sizeable 5,000mAh battery but unlike the U10 that is sold in India, the Y11 2019 doesn’t support 18W fast charging.
Speaking of design, the Y11 2019 has a plastic exterior – a plastic glossy one like the one seen in Vivo’s other budget phones like the S1 and Z1 Pro. The phone will be available in two colours – Coral Red and Jade Green.
The Vivo U10 in contrast has a 6.35-inch HD+ or 720p+ display with a waterdrop-style notch and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 4GB RAM and up to 64GB storage (expandable). The U10 comes with three rear cameras – a 13MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth camera for portrait photography. On the front, the U10 comes with an 8MP camera. This one also packs a 5,000mAh battery but supports 18W fast charging which is claimed to offer up to 4.5 hours of talk time on a 10-minute charge.
The Vivo U10 starts at Rs 8,599 for the base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage going all the way to Rs 10,990 for the top-end variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
