Vivo V5s specs and features

The Vivo V5s is essentially a rebranded Y19 which was launched recently in Thailand. The phone has a 6.53-inch FHD+ or 1080p+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P65 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Software inside the phone is Android 9 Pie with FunTouch OS 9. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

On to the cameras, the Y5s comes with three rear cameras – a 16MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth camera for portrait photography. On the front, the Y5s comes with a 16MP camera.

Speaking of design, the Y5s has a plastic exterior – a plastic glossy one like the one seen in Vivo’s other budget phones like the S1 and Z1 Pro. The phone will be available in three colours.

The Vivo Y5s seems to be a rehashed Vivo U3 which was launched in China last month. The only difference between the two is that while the U3 came with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, the Y5s has a MediaTek Helio P65 processor under the hood.

In other news, Vivo recently launched the Y11 2019 in Vietnam at a price of just under Rs 10,000. The Vivo Y11 2019 has a 6.35-inch HD+ or 720p+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage – there's also a provision for storage expansion. On to the cameras, the Y11 2019 comes with dual rear cameras – a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth camera for portrait photography. On the front, the Y11 2019 comes with an 8MP camera.

The main USP of the phone is its sizeable 5,000mAh battery but there’s no 18W fast charging support.
