Vivo Y89 has been launched in China under the company's Y-series line-up . Technical features and specifications of Vivo Y89 are more or less similar to last year’s Vivo Z1. The handset sports 2280 x 1080 pixels stretched across a 6.26-inch Full HD+ IPS display, featuring a notch design, 19:9 aspect ratio and 403 ppi pixel density.
Inside is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 626 octa-core chipset ticking at 2.2GHz, 4GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU to render graphics. It packs 32GB of internal storage that is further expandable via microSD.
It's a dual-SIM phone with two Nano SIM cards as well as a dedicated memory card slot. The handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with the company's Funtouch OS 4.0 on top.
In terms of optics, Vivo Y89 houses a 16MP primary sensor alongside a 2MP depth sensor to capture portrait shots with bokeh effect. Up front is a 16MP selfie camera for AI-driven face beautification and video calls. It features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Apart from the fingerprint scanner, Vivo Y89 features face unlock method for security.
Design-wise, Vivo Y89 flaunts metal and glass gradient design. The handset measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm in dimensions and weighs in at 149.3g. The standard set of connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. Vivo Y89 packs a 3260mAh battery under the hood.
As far as its price and availability are concerned, the Vivo Y89 comes in Aurora Blue and Black with Gold colors, and the handset is priced at 1396 yuan (approximately Rs 14,660). Vivo Y89 will go on sale in China later this week.
