Chinese smartphone maker Vivo unveiled a new smartphone the Y95 in the Philippines, a day after hands-on pictures of the new design was leaked. Interestingly enough, Vivo Y95 is essentially Vivo Y93 with some minor differences pertaining to display and camera specifications and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. Vivo Y93, however, is exclusive to the Chinese market.

From the looks of it, Vivo Y95 resembles the V11 Pro to a great extent. This one too flaunts a gradient design and what looks like a fiberglass back. It would fall under sub-Rs 20,000 price segment if Vivo decides to bring it to the Indian market anytime soon. Vivo Y75 costs 13,999 Philippine pesos, which roughly translates to $265 or Rs 19,110.

Similar to Vivo V11 Pro, it sports waterdrop notch above the display, further reducing the size of bezels while offering more screen real-estate to consume more content. Vivo Y95 is probably the first smartphone outside of its home turf to carry the Snapdragon 439 chip under the hood.

Up front, it has 1,520 x 720 pixels stretched across 6.22 inches IPS panel, resulting in only 270 ppi pixel density. This could very well turn into a disappointing factor given that it sports such a big screen size at merely 720p resolution. We reckon the video streaming experience may not be encouraging given such a low pixel density.

As for all other specifications, Vivo Y95 houses 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera with a dedicated depth sensor. For selfies, it has a 20MP shooter on the front. It packs a 4,030mAh battery under the hood.
