  • Vivo will launch the Vivo Z1 Pro phone in India on July 3
  • Chances are the Vivo Z1 Pro could be the cheapest phone with punch-hole selfie camera in India undercutting the recently launched Samsung Galaxy M40 with multiple variants

Vivo will launch the Vivo Z1 Pro phone in India on July 3. Not only will the Z1 Pro be Vivo’s first punch-hole display smartphone in India, it will also be very aggressively priced – we expect Vivo to launch the Z1 Pro in India at a price of under Rs 20,000. Chances are the Vivo Z1 Pro could be the cheapest phone with punch-hole selfie camera in India undercutting the recently launched Samsung Galaxy M40 with multiple variants – the Galaxy M40, for your reference, has been launched at Rs 19,990 in India.

Speaking of specs, the Vivo Z1 Pro comes with a 6.53-inch 1080p+ IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2340-pixel resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio thanks to its punch-hole style notch. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. Broadly speaking, the Vivo Z1 Pro will be available in three configurations - 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. The dual SIM phone runs Android Pie-based Funtouch OS 9. The Vivo Z1 Pro further packs a massive 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.

On to the cameras, the Vivo Z1 Pro comes with triple rear cameras – a 16MP main camera with f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and another 2MP sensor for portrait photography. On the front, the Z1 Pro comes with a 32MP camera.

In terms of design, even though the Vivo Z1 Pro is made entirely out of plastic, Vivo is using a glossy gradient finish on this one so it looks more like glass from afar – the phone will be available in two colours, Sonic Black and Sonic Blue. Elsewhere, the Vivo Z1 Pro has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and micro-USB port for charging and data-syncing.
