Recently, incumbent telco Airtel which recently launched the Rs 599 prepaid recharge plan, that offers unlimited calls and daily 2GB data could potentially face competition from the likes of the already existing Vodafone Rs 599 plan. The telco has been offering this plan from a long time. Like Airtel’s Rs 599 plan, the Vodafone Rs 599 prepaid recharge scheme also offers unlimited calling plus increased data benefits.

Vodafone Rs 599 scheme

As far as Vodafone’s Rs 599 plan is concerned, it offers unlimited calls along with 6GB data. The plan is valid for 180 days flat – which is six-months. Vodafone also claims that calls under this scheme would be totally unlimited, which means users should be able to speak for more than 250 minutes per day, for free.

Now, the above Vodafone recharge scheme is a bonus card plan. It should be active across multiple telecom circles. The plan does not levy any IUC on customers for non-Vodafone calls (outgoing). This is due to Vodafone’s re-iteration about not levying IUC charges on customers for outgoing calls to other networks.  Then, the free SMS messages, under this scheme, is 1800 (limited).

USP of this scheme is that it helps keeps recharge mobile phone recharge costs low. Hence, it should be ideal to the truly general everyday users preferring not to face hassles with respect to monthly recharges.

In related news, Vodafone which has not been levying IUC on customers is now offering the Rs 20 minimum recharge plan reportedly in certain circles. Hence, do check if the plan is active in your region (in case you are a Vodafone user).  This falls into the category of Minimum monthly recharge. Users could keep their prepaid numbers intact – those preferring to use Vodafone as a secondary SIM-card without having to fret about recharging for larger sums.
