Xiaomi Redmi YS pure mid-range smartphone is now available at reduced prices and these reductions range up to as high as Rs 3000. This announcement has been made official by Xiaomi’s Manu Kumar Jain.

Hence, if you are a Xiaomi loyalist looking at procuring the Redmi Y2, this could seemingly be an ideal time to resort to the purchase also considering the fact that offline stores would also resort to the latest price reduction (as per Manu Kumar Jain).

Now, a 4GB RAM offering 64GB internal storage and Dark Grey outer colour variant is currently up on Amazon for Rs 10999 which represents a Rs 2500 reduction in price in comparison to the handset’s original price tag of Rs 13499.

The official Xiaomi eStore is also selling the Redmi Y2 at reduced prices (Rs 10999). At this juncture, a 3GB+32GB variant of the Redmi Y is currently selling at Rs 8999.If you are planning an offline purchase, do cross-check with authorized Xiaomi stores and verify the price reduction.

At this point in time, there is expected to be a new announcement from Xiaomi on January 10. Rumour mills are rife about a 48 MP camera smartphone seeing the light of day during this event.
