Xiaomi says it sold 10 lakh Redmi Note 7-series phones in India in 1 month

The Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro were launched in India on February 28

Days after Xiaomi global announced that it had shipped 40 lakh Redmi Note 7-series phones around the world, the company’s India wing has announced that it has sold 10 lakh Redmi Note 7 devices (Redmi Note 7 + Redmi Note 7 Pro) in India in 1 month. The Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro were launched in India on February 28. 

The Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro went on sale again today, April 10, with Xiaomi finally putting the 6GB/128GB variant of the Redmi Note 7 Pro for grabs – interestingly, the company has said that it is not counting today’s sale which means the 6GB/128GB variant is out of the equation in reaching the 10 lakh sales figure.

This inspires us even more to further ramp up the supply for our popular Redmi Note 7 series and help all our Mi Fans access it easily.” Raghu Reddy, who heads Category and Online Sales, Xiaomi India said in a statement. 

The Redmi Note 7-series is available in different versions globally including in India. The Redmi Note 7 Pro India version comes with a gradient design and a 6.3-inch 1080p+ display with a teardrop/waterdrop style notch. It has two key highlights - the Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor and it has a 48MP rear camera with Sony’s IMX586 image sensor. 

The secondary sensor in the Redmi Note 7 Pro is a 5MP and is used for depth sensing. On the front, the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 13MP camera.  

The Redmi Note 7 Pro further packs a 4,000mAh battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 through USB Type-C.  

The Redmi Note 7 India version meanwhile comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, a 4,000mAh battery, a 12MP plus 2MP depth rear dual camera system, a 13MP front camera, and it has a 6.3-inch 1080p+ display with waterdrop style notch.   

The Redmi Note 7 Pro starts at Rs 13,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while the top-end variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs Rs 16,999. The Redmi Note 7 meanwhile starts at Rs 9,999 for the base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, going all the way to Rs 11,999 for the top end version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
