There’s no denying that Xiaomi’s new Redmi K20 series phones, aka Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20, are stunning to look at. There’s something about Xiaomi’s ‘aura prime’ design that’s literally, a sight to behold. Even though there’s no dearth of flashy gradient phones in the market, the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 stand out from the crowd with their distinct multi-layered all-glass exterior. While that’s quite an achievement in itself, Xiaomi has something even more special for fans who’ll be willing to splurge. Enter, the Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition.

Remember when Redmi was all about dirt-cheap phones? Well, this one's all gold and diamonds, so!

The Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition is a limited-edition luxury device that's priced at a whopping Rs 4,80,000. It costs that much because its back is made of solid gold – there's also a ‘K’ logo at the bottom that’s carved out of diamonds. The Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition is so limited, Xiaomi will be selling only 20 units as and when it decides to put it up on sale. For now, Xiaomi doesn’t have a date but going by what’s in store here, looks like Xiaomi is gearing for an early ‘Diwali.’

Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain went so far as to say – during the Redmi K20 series India launch keynote – that the company is going to charge buyers only and only for the added luxuries here, that is all the gold and diamonds on-board, and not the hardware inside per se. While we do not know if this particular variant will come with either 6GB RAM and 128GB storage or 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, rest of the deal will be same as the original Redmi K20 Pro – that will be available in Glacier Blue, Flame Red and Carbon Black options by the way.

Xiaomi has launched the ‘regular’ Redmi K20 Pro in India at a starting price of Rs 27,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage while the top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage has been launched at Rs 30,999.
