Twitter has shown that the power of a community, even if it is online can make a difference in people's lives and in the world.
Another beautiful thing about the micro-blogging platform is it shows that well known personalities from across the professional spectrum are like ordinary people in many ways.
Well-known author Nikesh Shukla tweeted about losing a necklace which contained some of his mother's ashes at the Heathrow airport. He requested his followers to retweet in the 'slim hope' of finding it.
People on Twitter could totally related to his sentiments and went on a war-footing to help him retrieve the necklace. Shukla's tweet received over 10,000 retweets.
While the necklace has not been found despite tremendous efforts put in by the Twitterverse, the support left Shukla filled with hope.
