Ideas can go viral anytime, anywhere, one can't really predict it and just like that, a project is going viral on Twitter, #ThisIs18. A US-based publication recently launched a project called This is 18. It’s a photo zine to capture what life is like for girls turning 18 in 2018 across oceans and cultures. The photographs and interviews were shot and conducted entirely by other young women from all across.

A member of the project took to Twitter and wrote, 'Girls have long been the subject of photographers’ lens — but they have far less often been the ones behind it. Today we introduce #ThisIs18 — a project to show what life is like for 18-year-old girls around the world. Through girls’ eyes.'

A lot of women and young adults shared what it was like to be 18 and described their 18-year-old self. To strengthen the campaign on social media, several female Hollywood influencers like Chelsea Handler and others shared throwback pictures of themselves at the age of 18 and gave an insight to their life at that age and wrote advise they would give their 18-year-old self.
