Instagram users are instead greeted with empty profiles and a message that pops up on the screen that says "Couldn't refresh feed," while on the app. Turns out that the issue is not just limited to the mobile version of the app, but the web version of the app is also facing similar issues.
The issue of the application being down has come in at a difficult time. For not too long ago, the founders of Instagram left the company amid rumours that they disagreed with Facebook over how the company should be run. However, Adam Mosseri was named the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Instagram. The official announcement of the same was made on Monday, October 1.
After the Facebook breach was revealed recently, turns out that there is a possibility that Instagram users and their accounts might also have been caught up in the same if the users had used their Facebook login to create their Instagram account.
