It seems that Ali Abbas Zafar's (director of popular films viz Bharat and Tiger Zinda Hai) Twitter account has been hacked and is yet to be fixed. Not only Twitter, but the director's Instagram account also seems to have fallen prey to cyber-criminals.
The latest tweet by the director, on 16 July, from his confirmed Twitter account makes public the above developments. In his tweet, Zafar has stated that the hacking matter has been taken up with both Instagram and Twitter and that he would update in case things got fixed. As of now, the director is yet to confirm whether his Instagram and Twitter accounts have been restored after due diligence by the competent cyber authorities.
Randomly sending pictures
Zafar, in his most recent tweet, has stated that his hacked Twitter account was even sending pictures/messages unknown to him; hence, if you are amongst the netizens having received images this way, do exercise caution. At this juncture, it becomes worth to consider Zafar’s tweet:
Twitterati wants a cyber “Tiger” [Tiger Part 3]
As soon as Zafar tweeted about the hack of his social media accounts, Twitterati immediately got on the cyber job and wanted the filmmaker to put “Agent Tiger” on the job. Here, “Tiger” is the name of the character played by renowned actor Salman Khan in Zafar’s films Tiger Zinda Hai:
At this point in time, it is worth remembering that Twitter accounts of other famous celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan and Adnan Sami were hacked by a Turkish hacker group who posted pictures of Pakistan’s Imran Khan. Both the accounts were later restored.
