Nagpur Violence: Cyber Police's Big Crackdown, Possible Bangladesh Angle Linked To Nagpur Clashes

Nagpur: multiple videos emerging of violence onground. After the Aurangzeb controversy erupted, to which CM Devendra Fadnavis responded, two groups clashed on ground in Nagpur on a matter of rumour mongering. Multiple emerging videos show torched vehicles, mass vandalisation and mobs on the streets. Police fired teargas shells to disperse the mob which resorted to clashes in Chitnis Park in Mahal Area of Nagpur. The Police in Nagpur are going lane by lane to ensure that the mob peacefully disperses. Maharashtra Chief Minister Fadnavis has appealed for calm and asked the public not to believe in rumours. Union Minister in the Modi government Nitin Gadkari also made an appeal for calm. He said, "I am making an appeal to all to be peaceful and let the administration to do its job to bring order". Gadkari, Nagpur MP, has assured, “I have full confidence that the appeal put out by the Forces will be followed by the people.” Earlier, Maharashtra DGP took stock of the situation right now.
