Ricky Ponting Joins Punjab Kings As Their New Head Coach From IPL 2025

Former Australian captain and the ex-coach of Delhi Capitals , Ricky Ponting has joined Punjab Kings as their Head Coach. The official Pujab Kings Instagram account confirmed the same with a very cryptic and nostalgic post that is relatable for every cricket fan. Ricky Ponting will take charge of Punjab Kings from IPL 2025 and has reportedly penned a multi-year deal with one time IPL finalists. Ricky Ponting has coached the Mumbai Indians and the Delhi Capitals in the IPL across 11 seasons. During this period, he has guided them to one championship and four playoffs. In the 2024 MLC season, the Washington Freedom appointed him as Head Coach and he guided the team to the title. Ricky also is the head of strategy for the Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL since 2021.
