Out of form, Rohit Sharma becomes only the 2nd captain in CRICKET HISTORY To grab 'UNWANTED RECORD'

New Zealand accomplished a herculean task of beating India in India and handed Rohit Sharma 's men a series defeat of 3-0. Tom Latham's New Zealand badly exposed India's ability to play both seam and spin. Rohit Sharma will look to completely forget his 2024 home season. The Indian batting stalwart could amass only 133 runs from 10 innings and averaged just 13.3. This is the lowest average for an Indian captain. This record was earlier held by Sunil Gavaskar who averaged only 17.5 from eight games in 1984-85 season. But that's not all. Rohit Sharma's average of 13.3 is the second-lowest among all captains at home in Test cricket history.
