Viral Video: Karnataka Family Finds Massive 9-Foot King Cobra in Their Bedroom

Viral Video:  In a shocking incident a family in Karnataka’s Agumbe finds a 9-foot-long King Cobra hiding inside a box in their bedroom. 

The snake was eventually rescued by members of the Agumbe Rainforest Research Station (ARRS). A video of the incident, shared on Instagram by field director Ajay Giri, shows the rescue in action.

The cobra managed to slither into a box stored in the bedroom loft. When the family discovered the snake hiding in the box, they immediately notified the forest department officials, who then alerted the Agumbe Rainforest Research Station (ARRS).

Giri and his team, thereafter, rushed to the spot and managed to rescue the snake and put it inside a bag. The snake was later released into the wild with the help of forest department officials.

“A king cobra (9ft long) was sighted inside the bedroom of a house. Owner got worried and called incharge forest department officials. ARRS was informed about the situation. Over the call we instructed locals about dos and don'ts and rushed to the place. After inspection, we found the snake inside a metal box. The snake was gently bagged. We conducted an onsite awareness program for the local community. Later, the snake was released into the wild in the presence of in-charge forest department officials,” Giri said in his post.
