Biggest LeT Attacks Unleashed On India- A list

Are you Hindu or Muslim? Does either of the religions deserve death? Does Terrorism Defy Tourism? Lashkar-e-Taiba targeted innocent tourists in the Pahalgam District of J&K, resulting in 26 deaths, including two foreign tourists.  

The Resistance Force, backed by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), infamous for its ruthless and violent attacks, is a jihadist organisation that claims its main agenda is to merge the divided Kashmir with Pakistan.  

India's firm stance against terrorism has faced several attacks from the jihadist group LeT. Let's look at some of the notable incidents. 

In December 2000, LeT attacked the Red Fort in Delhi. It claimed its attempt to derail the India-Pakistan peace talks resulted in the death of two soldiers and one civilian.  

In December 2001, Let militants, along with Jaish-e-Mohammed, attacked the Indian Parliament, killing nineteen soldiers, bringing India and Pakistan to the brink of war.  

In 2005, a bombing occurred only two days before Diwali. The bombing took 62 innocent lives of Indian citizens while injuring 210 others in the explosion.  

Two bombing incidents took place in 2007 simultaneously in Hyderabad. The death toll rose to a high of 42, with 54 injuries.  

LeT was involved in a series of seven bomb blasts on commuter trains in Mumbai, resulting in a death toll of over 200 people in 2006.  

The 26/11 attack was carried out by LeT members who arrived via sea routes and targeted various locations in Mumbai. There is evidence that the attack was carried out by the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).  

In September 2016, militants attacked Uri, a Jammu and Kashmir base, killing 19 soldiers while they were asleep. It is considered the deadliest attack on the Indian Military Forces. 

In January 2016, LeT is suspected of being involved in the death of 7 security personnel on the Air Force Base of Jammu and Kashmir, Pathankot District.
