Thailand's inflation falls to 33 months low

Thailand's headline Consumer Price Index (CPI) for November recorded a decline of -0.44 per cent compared to the previous year, marking the second consecutive month of decrease.

The drop is attributed to government energy policies leading to lower diesel prices and a decrease in pork and chicken meat prices, according to the commerce ministry.

The figure is below the forecasted -0.30 per cent inflation for November and marks the seventh consecutive month with inflation below the central bank's target range of 1 per cent to 3 per cent.

The core CPI for November stood at 0.58 per cent year-on-year, slightly below the forecast of 0.60 per cent.
