Thronging temples, holy dip in Saryu, Ayodhya welcomes New Year in religious manner

On the first day of the New Year, thousands of devotees visited Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir and had darshan of Ramlala. The devotees chanted ‘Jai Shree Ram’, as they took the darshan of Lord Ram.

Several devotees took a holy dip in the Saryu River on Monday. Following the holy dip, they went for a darshan of RamLala at Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir.

In the evening, people in large numbers gathered on the bank of Saryu River and took part in 'Aarti'. ‘Shobha Yatras’ were also carried out to celebrate the occasion at some places.
