10 WWE Superstars Who Used to Wrestle For AEW

Rey Fenix debuted on WWE SmackDown for the company. He is the latest AEW wrestler to have made the jump to WWE. 

His brother Penta, who wrestled alongside Fenix as The Lucha Brothers, is another WWE talent who used to work for AEW.  

WWE champion Cody Rhodes is perhaps the most high-profile ex-AEW star to be in WWE, as he was one of the founders and EVPs of the company.

CM Punk also had a notable AEW run before rejoining WWE in 2023.

Jade Cargill started her wrestling at AEW in 2020 before joining WWE in 2023.

Andrade has gone back and forth - he wrestled for WWE from 2015-21, then wrestled at AEW from 2021-23 before returning to WWE.

Dragon Lee had a brief stint at AEW before signing for WWE.

Ricky Saints was an AEW original who wrestled there under his real name Ricky Starks before joining WWE in 2025.

Ethan Page had a lengthy stint at AEW before joining WWE and winning the NXT Championship.

Stephanie Vaquer had a brief AEW stint before joining WWE where she has won both the North American and the NXT Women's Championship.
