This restaurant in Hong Kong offers snake meat pizza, would you try it?

Pizza ranks among the most loved Italian dishes worldwide, prompting food enthusiasts to conduct various unconventional experiments. In a recent development, Pizza Hut in Hong Kong introduced a completely novel and unexpected topping that might surprise you.

Authentic snake stew is highly popular in Hong Kong and southern China. It features ingredients such as shredded snake meat, black mushrooms and Chinese dried ham.

As per CNN, the American fast-food company has collaborated with Ser Wong Fun, a restaurant in Hong Kong with over a century of history, to craft this distinctive dish. The offbeat nine-inch pizza, available until November 22, featured shredded snake meat, black mushrooms, diced chicken and Chinese dried ham as toppings, with an abalone sauce base replacing the traditional tomato base.

In a statement to CNN, Pizza Hut Hong Kong expressed, "Paired with cheese and diced chicken, the snake meat becomes richer in taste. Combined with pizza, it marks a breakthrough from the conventional concept of what maintaining good health means while challenging one’s taste buds."

Snake stew is consumed in Hong Kong and southern China, particularly in colder weather. Various versions of snake stew are available in the region, featuring a combination of snake meat and Chinese herbs.
