Greece's economy will grow 5.9 percent during 2021, far more than the original 3.6 percent estimate, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced on Saturday.
Mitsotakis was addressing the Thessaloniki International Fair where, traditionally, heads of government announce the coming year's economic policies.
The prime minister put special emphasis on climate change, saying the future course of the economy would have to be green.
He also stressed that the only answer to the coronavirus pandemic was vaccination, adding that "the economy and the society are not going to shut down again."
Outside the venue where he was speaking, several thousand anti-vaccine protesters clashed with riot police, throwing firebombs, firecrackers and stones.
Police responded with tear gas and stun grenades.
