Portugal's parliament voted Thursday to extend the country's state of emergency through March 1, allowing the government to keep the current national lockdown in place for the rest of this month.

Portugal's parliament voted Thursday to extend the country's state of emergency through March 1, allowing the government to keep the current national lockdown in place for the rest of this month.
Speaking on Thursday night after the Parliament vote, Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa warned that there could be no change in the course of action until Easter.
