All eyes on India-Japan-US trilateral as world leaders convene for G-20 Summit in Argentina: LIVE UPDATES

Prime Minister Modi is attending the G20 summit alongside other world leaders in Buenos Aires, Argentina. During his address of the 'Yoga for peace' ceremony, he strained on the issues of the global economy and fugitive criminals along with climate change and sustainable development.

Update at 3: 05 AM: A trilateral summit between Russia, China and India were also held after 12 years. PM Modi said that Russia, China India must maintain multilateralism and must hold a meeting regularly

Update at 2: 51 AM: PM Modi presented a nine-point agenda to take a necessary step against economic offenders. PM Modi also slammed all the developed nations of the world and sais that world is going through a serious political crisis.

Update At 11:54 PM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President of the United States Donald Trump and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Abe hold trilateral meet at the G-20 summit. While addressing the media US President Trump said, "The relationship between our countries (India, the United States, and Japan) are extremely strong. Especially with India, it has been stronger than ever."

Prime Minister Modi agreeing with Trump said, "This is a glorious occasion that India, Japan, and the United States together will aim towards world peace, prosperity, and stability. Together we can accomplish this. It is an honour for me that both countries have been India's strategic partners, both of them are my good friends. The fact that all three of us would be working together, is a beautiful event in itself."

"Japan, America, and India--JAI, the meaning of this in India is--'Jai', which means success. So JAI together, aiming for success is embarking upon a journey," he added

Update at 10: 05 AM: The leaders from all the 20 countries of the world join hands as they together embark on a journey to make the global economy work. The leaders discussed issues related to technological transformation, social changes & collective action needed to face new challenges

Update at 9:41 PM: PM Modi met the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and other leaders from Italy and the United Kingdom.

Update at 9:20 PM: Union Minister of External and foreign affairs, Sushma Swaraj met Thailand Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai. They discussed about consultations on bilateral, regional & global issues. Thailand is the country coordinator for Dialogue Partnership with the ASEAN countries. Both sides agreed to work closely to further strengthen India-ASEAN strategic partnership.

Update at 9:13 PM: As the G20 Summit begins, PM Modi is welcomed by the President of the host country, Mauricio Macri, at Centro Costa Salguero.

An informal BRICS meet was also held in Buenos Aires, where PM Modi proclaimed that the BRICS countries are willing to work in co-operation for a new industrial revolution. 
Along with India-Japan-USA trilateral meet, any countries are holding the meeting on the sidelines of the summit
