China is facing Global criticism

Reports indicate that China is increasingly facing Global criticism on a plethora of issues, starting with months of trouble in Hong Kong accompanied with economic issues with the US and is under global lens of its attitude towards Muslim minorities in Xinjiang province. Reportedly, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman has slammed "the untrue remarks said by US side in his speech" after Trump mounted pressure on the security council member in a vociferous speech on September 24 remarking that China needs to guard Hong Kong's freedom, legal systems and democratic ways of its life. The US president also proclaimed that times of China's abuses of the system was over.

Reportedly, Geng said that the US must meet China halfway and called on the two countries to handle and reign their issues on the basis of mutual respect. Geng questioned the US State Department event to throw light on the issues of ethnic Uigurs in China's northwestern Xinjiang province where Human rights groups say a million or more Muslim minorities are being abused. Geng further said that he wants to highlight here that the matter of Xinjiang is not a religious or human rights problem but more of an anti-secession and anti-terrorism issue. Also saying that Xinjiang continues to ensure prosperity, stability, national unity and social harmony and that all venemous slander and smearing from the other nations are in vain.
