Locals know Chris as a kind man and remembered him having a pet rat being crawled on a box in front of him, said reports.
Chris received huge support from the locals as they conducted social media appeal to the police to look for his pet rat, the reports added.
The New South Wales police managed to find the rat and posted the reunion of Chris and his Lucy on social media platforms.
The outpour of joy was clear on the internet.
