Israel Preparing For Ground Incursion Of Lebanon: Army Chief Halevi

Israeli Army Chief Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi announced Wednesday that the Israeli military is preparing for a possible ground operation in Lebanon. 

Speaking to troops stationed along the northern border, Halevi stated they were intended to set the stage for potential ground incursions aimed at further degrading Hezbollah's capabilities.

Halevi's remarks come amid heightened tensions in the region, with ongoing skirmishes between Israeli forces and Hezbollah. The Chief of Staff underscored the urgency of the situation, linking military actions to the broader goal of facilitating the return of displaced citizens in northern Israel to their homes.

"We are preparing the process of a maneuver," Halevi remarked.
