The internationally renowned flamenco venue in Spain, El Corral de la Moreira, will reopen its door after 14 months of closure for its 65th anniversary on May 20.

Artists and directors of this traditional "tablao", as these concert halls for flamenco artists are known in Spain, said to be pleased with the reopening, as it will support artists and a dying tradition of dedicated venues.

The tablao will reopen its doors one day a week, on Saturdays, with two shows allowing 30 people to comply with the COVID-19 restrictions.

María Moreno,34, a flamenco artist all throughout her life, danced on the presentation night, which she described as a "ray of light" in the wait for normalcy.

Moreno, originally from the Spanish coastal city of Cádiz, has received multiple Giraldillo awards in the Sevilla Flamenco Festival. The last of them dubbed "The Magic Moment," which she received only on past April.

Artists and businessmen like Maria and Juanma continue to fight so that this Spanish cultural asset that represents a part of the Spanish identity and which it's shows have been compromised by the pandemic.
