Syrian White Helmets rescue 4 year old girl from well

Rescuers from the Syrian White Helmets hauled a little girl from a dry well in the eastern Aleppo region of Syria on Wednesday.

Four-year-old Basma fell into the abandoned water source in the small town of Bab, according to the White Helmets.

Dramatic, helmet camera footage showed the crying child being located in an underground tunnel and being brought up by the rescuers.

She was taken to hospital as a precaution but was reportedly uninjured.

The Syrian White Helmets, which has had more than 3,000 volunteers in opposition-held areas, says it has saved thousands of lives since 2013 and documented Syrian government attacks on civilians and other infrastructure.
