Update at 4:52 PM: In a major development, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also released a statement, following the tweet by Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan in which the ministry condemned the killing of the terrorists terming them as 'innocent Kashmiris' during the Kulgam encounter. 

A day after Indian Army soldiers were shot down by Pakistani intruders along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sunderbani sector, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan took it to his Twitter to rake up the Kashmir issue. Condemning the killings of the two terrorists, whom he insisted on calling ‘innocent Kashmiris’, in India's north-most state by the Indian security forces, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, suggested to India to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

While three Indian soldiers were martyred during the encounter on Sunday, the Indian Army gunned down two Pakistani intruders. The intruders were wearing combat uniform; however, their identity could not be ascertained.

Futhermore, also on Sunday, three terrorists were neutralized by the Indian security forces following an encounter during the Cordon and Search Operation launched in Larro village in the Kulgam district of South Kashmir. The three (JeM) militants killed during the Kulgam encounter were later identified as Shahid ul Islam Tantray from Shopian, Yazil Makroo from Kulgam's Arwani, and Zubair Lone from Kulgam's Aashto.

According to the reports, as the forces began to evacuate the area after the encounter, many local residents marched to the site which was yet to be sanitized, causing as many as seven civilian deaths and injuring many other civilians as an explosive that the terrorists were carrying exploded unexpectedly while they had ventured onto the site despite it being off limits.

 A stern warning has been conveyed by the Indian Army to Pakistan Army to restrain the terrorists operating from its soil. Indian Army has been maintaining utmost restraint to uphold the ceasefire along the LoC despite regular provocative actions from across. However, Pakistan Army has been vigorously attempting to send terrorists across the LoC. Since May 30, 2018, seven infiltration bids have been eliminated by the Indian Army in which 23 terrorists have been killed.
