Funeral for couple who died in Karachi plane crash

The funeral prayers for a couple who died in a plane crash last Friday were offered at a mosque in Karachi on Friday.

Zain and Sarah Polani and two of their children were on board the Airbus A230 when it crashed near Jinnah International Airport on Friday.

The British nationals had come to Pakistan to celebrate Eid.

The bodies of the couple and their children had not yet been handed over to relatives due to incomplete identification processes.

A former member of Pakistan's National Assembly Muhammad Hussain Mehanti also attended the funeral prayer.

He demanded the government to hold those who are responsible for the incident accountable to prevent another incident like this happening in the future.
