Weeks after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the Kartarpur Corridor in a groundbreaking in the neighbouring country, Khalistani groups have been seen openly honouring the Pak PM and Army Chief Qamar Bajwa for the initiative.
In an event organized by the Khalistani groups in Canada's Toronto on December 21, Pak PM Imran Khan and Army Chief were presented with gold’ plated certificates, which were collected by Pakistan’s Consul General on their behalf.
Prominent Khalistani Sukhminder Singh Hansra, who is known for Anti-India propaganda and his association with the ISI, gave away the certificates to the Pak PM and Army Chief during the event.
As per sources, in his address at the event, the Khalistani leader also hit out at Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and India for taking on Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI.
Earlier in November, Imran Khan hailed praises and credited Punjab Congress minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for the Kartarpur Corridor during the groundbreaking ceremony where Hafiz Saeed aide and pro-Khalistani leader Gopal Singh Chawla was also present.
A video of Gopal Singh Chawla, who is an aide of the 26/11 terror attack mastermind and Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed, came out in November wherein he was heard spewing venom against India. In the video, he had said:
"If you don't understand then you will be destroyed, you Indians. Your stories won't be told in History. If India dares to attack Pakistan, the entire Sikh community will join the Pakistan Army. And I want to tell you this Indians -- this is Pakistan. Like you call Bharat your mother, Pakistan is our father. And a father is always a father. And the mother should always remain under the control of the father and she should always be scared of the father. The Sikh community will fight you and we will throw this pen down and pick up the gun. After that, we'll teach you such a lesson that you'll be wiped out. If you dare to look at Pakistan with a twisted eye, we will gouge your eyes out. Pakistan zindabad, Pakistan zindabad."
