The Pakistan government on Wednesday issued a notification stating an emergency like situation has struck the country because of which certain measures are to be taken with immediate effect.

Facing the heat from India - which has avenged February 14 Pulwama terror attack by destroying terror camps in Pakistan and then thwarting PAF's efforts to infiltrate Indian airspace - Pakistan has been forced into taking measures such as cancellation of leaves of all the officials.

Following a meeting conducted by the Pakistan army chief, an emergency has been imposed in Karachi while places like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been put on high alert.

I am directed to refer to the subject noted and to state that due ot o emergency situation in (sic) the Country, following directions are issued for strict compliance in letter and spirit -

  • All officers/officials should coordinate/liaison with the District Administration in any emergency
  • Water Supply agencies to ensure proper supply of water.
  • All councils are directed to ensure availability of Fire Engines/Tenders, Bowser/Dumpers/Loaders/De-watering Machines/Pumps.
  • All councils are also directed to ensure sirens in ready position.

This development comes at a time when all flight operations, including domestic and international, were suspended in Pakistan in light of the recent situation.

On Wednesday, Pakistan had sent its F-16's in the Indian territory to infiltrate the Indian airspace. Though, their efforts were thoroughly unsuccessful as the Indian Air Force shot down one of Pakistan's F-16 while sending back the other two.

This notorious act by Pakistan came just a day after Indian Air Force had avenged the Pulwama terror attack by annihilating terror training camps in Pakistan and PoK. Using 16 Mirage 2000 jets, the forces went inside the Pakistan territory and destroyed terror bases using laser-guided bombs, neutralizing 245 foot soldiers and terrorists who were under going training in these respective camps.

The very fact that Pakistan tried to use official assets to come into Indian air space, just a day later, is only a further corroboration of the narrative that they fully supported those in the JeM, the LeT and the Hizbul Mujahideen camps eliminated by India.
