A spooked Pakistan has yet again extended its airspace closure, except a few exceptions.

It was notified that Pakistan airspace will remain closed for all operations until March 5, 2019, 8:00 AM except flights will be operational to and from Karachi International, Peshawar International, Quetta International, and Islamabad International Airport.

Although Pakistan had announced the opening of their airspace nationwide on March 4, later delayed it until Tuesday.

The decision to close the airspace came last Wednesday after an aerial dogfight between India and Pakistan ignited fears of all-out conflict, after Pakistan retaliated with a military confrontation to India's counter-terrorism strike.

Imran Khan's government on Wednesday issued a statement notifying an emergency-like situation struck the country for which specific measures are to be taken with immediate effect.

Facing the pressure global community on counter-terrorism after Pulwama terror attack perpetrated by JeM terror outfits and India then thwarting PAF's efforts to infiltrate Indian airspace - Pakistan has been forced into taking measures such as cancellation of leaves of all the officials.

Following a meeting conducted by the Pakistan army chief, an emergency has been imposed in Karachi while places like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been put on high alert.
