People took to the streets of Pakistan's capital on Saturday to celebrate World Environment Day, raising awareness for the protection of the planet.

Vehicles decorated with trees, dustbins and statues covered with plastic bags drove through Islamabad.
Activists, the general public and even traffic police joined in, holding up banners and signs.
Prime Minister Imran Khan called on developed countries to generously provide financial support to climate-vulnerable developing countries, including Pakistan, to cope with the devastating consequences of climate change.
Pakistan is the global host for World Environment Day, with this year's message aiming to highlight the importance of the 'Ecosystem Restoration' theme.
